PADI Tec 50
As a Tec 50 diver, you show that you’ve developed competency as a tec diver and have the skills to dive to a maximum of 50m. You will make extended range dives using two decompression gases. It’s not easy to reach this level and earning your Tec 50 certification opens the door to deeper diving expeditions.
The Tec 50 course takes you from Tec 45 and allows the successful candidate to independently gain experience as a full Tec Deep Diver. This qualification represents a high level of competency for a technical diver.
The diver is qualified to use air/EANx/oxygen to make extended range accelerated decompression dives. During the Tec 50 course, you make actual decompression dives as deep as 50 meters/165 feet. You’ll use enriched air nitrox and/or oxygen for decompression. Furthermore, you will learn to use desktop decompression software to create custom dive tables and plan your dives. Most importantly this course will qualify the successful candidate to plan and execute technical decompression dives as a team – extending your limits once again.
To Enroll In The Tec 40 Course, You Must Be:
- Be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- Be a PADI Rescue Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- Be a PADI Enriched Air Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- Be a PADI Deep Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- Be a DSAT Tec 45 (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- Have a minimum of 100 logged dives, of which at least:
- 20 dives must be enriched air dives 25 dives must be deeper than 18 metres/60 feet, 20 dives must be deeper than 30 metres/100 feet
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a medical form signed by your physician
